9:38 pm - Happy 2nd Birthday to Atticus!

Hi Mate,
It's been 15 centuries since we wrote anything here. I'm happy to say that Winnie and
I are both healthy and happy and doing well, we hope all our buddies are too.
We are celebrating a happy event tomorrow, and that's the second birthday of our cousin
cat, Atticus! What better present than to allow him 2 minutes of fame via our journal.
This is the little guy himself in all his cutedom, not sure if he is a document or a kitten,
but please feel free to judge for yourself:
  Mate, he was really sick 'recently cos he decided to lick carpet cleaning stuff,
but luckily he made it, it was touch and go there mate you know!
I'd also like to mention that it would be an extra special birthday if he could find a
girlfriend. This is Atticus' profile: Nicknames – R2D2 (because of noises I make), Atty da house kat (DJ name),
Mr Swishy tail or monsieur le swishoir (because my tail swishes), summer puss
(because I like rolling in the dirt when it is hot)
Relationship Status - It's complicated. I love her, she doesn't love me, so now
I must seek love elsewhere ... Likes – pooing when mummy is home so she cleans the litter straight away.
Chica, because even though she doesn’t love me I will love her for all eternity
and she is the most beautiful cat in the world. This is her magnificence with me:
Also likes - Killing insects.
Rough tummy rubs. “Spinaroos” on the kitchen floor (grab my tummy and
swirl me really fast!). Dislikes – birds – they swoop me.

11:24 pm - Reading Doormats

Mate, I've been reading doormats! I went out one night and sniffed a doormat like my buddy
Poly told me to do and suddenly I was transported to another world. Mate, the doormat said
that once upon a time there was a black and white cat, (a very handsome chap apparently,
but that's by the by) and this cat loved going into sheds.

You just chance to open the shed door mate, and this cat was in! Sometimes you wouldn't
even know he had gone in! Anyway, there were lots of sheds and shops with storerooms
near this handsome cat's house, and rumour has it, the amazingly handsome, talented and
brilliant black and white cat got locked in a shed for 2 days, with no Marmer thing, or little
brother, or dogs, or water, or FOOD! Yeah that's right, NO FOOD! For about 48 hours!!!
Several days came to pass and there was much sadness in the household, it being thought
that the cat was gone forever. However, on the second day, the cat returned home to a
rapturous reception with many pats, many kisses laced with fur and whiskers on human
lips and widespread rejoicing. The mat then told me that the cat talked and talked for
quite some time, "row" this and "ra ra rowwww" that. He seemed quite crabby, but happy
at the same time that he was back at home. He had a big drink, 3 bowls of food, and said
he would not be going too far from home for quite some time ...

We've just had our first cat/dog conference. It was chaired by Nathan
and fairly and equitably considered all viewpoints.
 Tanus Interjects and is cautioned by the chair
Resolutions from the 1st Cat and Dog Conference are as follows:
1. "We the dogs resolve that we will cover up all our pooh"
2. "We the cats resolve not to hit the dogs as they come through the dog door"
3. "We the dogs resolve not to eat all the cat food when our owners aren't looking"
4. "We the dogs promise not to sniff the cats' bottoms"

9:26 pm - Dogs Update
|
|
Yeah mate, I guess some of you have been wondering how we have been getting along
with the two dogs, Tanus and Kaiser. It's okay now, we are used to them and they are
used to us. Tanus isn't chasing us any more, which is good. I have even been known to
sit next to Tanus and rub in to her. Winnie keeps a bit more distance but he will sit behind
the dogs, let them walk past him, walk up and sniff them, and no longer freaks out. He is
actually very interested in what they do, and watches their every move, no longer with fear,
but out of interest. Life is okay in this blended family!
